QJ Motor Unveils New SRT 800SX Adventure Bike

QJ Motor, a leading Chinese motorcycle manufacturer, is known for its aggressive approach in introducing new models. As the parent company of popular brands like Keeway and Benelli, which have a strong presence in Europe, QJ Motor offers a wide range of models that are often rebadged under its sub-brands.

At the EICMA 2023 event, QJ Motor showcased several interesting models, including the SRT 800SX. This new bike is QJ Motor's entry into the rapidly growing middleweight adventure bike segment. With competitors like the Yamaha Tenere 700, Honda Transalp XL750, and Aprilia Tuareg 660 dominating the mid-sized ADV market, the QJ Motor SRT 800SX presents itself as a budget-friendly alternative with comparable technology and performance.

The QJ Motor SRT 800SX features an 800cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, parallel-twin engine with an eight-valve cylinder head. It delivers 91 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and 77 Nm (54 pound-feet) of torque at 8,000 rpm. The bike is equipped with a six-speed transmission and a slipper clutch for added convenience. It also boasts long-travel suspension with inverted forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear.

Designed for long-distance touring, the SRT 800SX comes with an 18.5-liter fuel tank, providing ample range between refueling stops. It features a large, full-color TFT display, full LED lights, and dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety in all road conditions. Pricing and availability details for the 2024 SRT 800SX have not been announced yet, but it is expected to be more affordable than other mainstream players in the middleweight ADV segment.

While bikes like the QJ Motor 800SX may be easily overlooked, some Chinese adventure bikes, such as the CFMoto Ibex 800, have proven their competitiveness in the mainstream market. Whether the QJ Motor 800SX can achieve the same remains to be seen.
